i changed where my client was downloadable from... the top level directory is now located here and the direct downloads are the client and the changes.

i will make a webpage for it at some point... but for now, this will do.

Hey, just randommed in and saw you have a LJ client. Me too. I started one in VB not too long ago and got all the winsock goodness going and basic postings. But then I got bored and moved on to some other cool things. I'm still thinking of revisiting it and making it all neat like and what not. What are you programming yours in? And how come the links to it aren't working.

the links work fine... try again.

as for the development, the base was brads win32-mfc client. i just added a bunch of stuff and fixed a bunch of stuff. it is much more useful now...

dev environment is ms vc++ 6, IDE being visual studio.

Hmm. I didn't realize that Brad had his client open.. I got VC++6 on my winbox but usually use VB for quick programming. Actually the only thing I really have done with VC is tinkering around with the quake3 source.(fun)

If any of the code is open I wouldn't mind looking at it. I'll even let you at my VB6 project if it interests you.

BTW- still getting 404s off of your visions website trying to get livejournal.exe . Thanks for the source though.. I won't look at it tonight or this weekend but maybe next week.

BTW my VB6 project is here. All it does is allow a user to logon and post. But, I've got some other ideas that I want to implement.

use the actual links or just browse the directory. files are case sensitive... and the file is named, LiveJournal.exe... not livejournal.exe.

i just clicked on them, they work.

[Thu Oct 19 23:55:06 2000] [error] [client 24.65.190.36] File does not exist: /home/liquid/public_html/LiveJournal.exe

that was you i imagine. the old links (quite a few posts back) were to that spot, but i moved the files to their own browseable directory called livejournal, and the links that you commented on, were to that location.

anyway, i am glad that you at least figured it out.

I just have to say how cool that is. I was almost joking when I asked you to look at the log. I must've clicked on an old link or something then. Dunno, I can't remember exactly what I was doing.
