Nice to see you're making suggestions and doing some lj_win32 dev work again, btw. Yeah, I know you probably don't want to hear it, but...

Really? Where are you going to work for? I know you were talking about making a career transition...

Hope you still find some time for LJ wherever you go, even if it's just overseeing the new local community you set up. We can use more of those. The people over in the local community I set up are doing a BBQ soon, it looks like...

If you don't have the time to develop in the future, I completely understand. I kind of wish I could set you loose on a "secret project" and just let you have at it, because you'd do well at that kind of thing. Still, I suspect that you're good at finding your own secret projects and don't need my help!

Here's hoping your new job gives you some cool projects and ideally a lot of nice toys to play with...

Oooh. serious security! That's always fun... The people who do security hardcore tend to be either really fun to work with (i.e. They like breaking holes in security for recreational, non-malicious purposes...) or are ex-military types who are more starched than their shirts. Hope you find them to be the former.

Did someone mention drinks?! I need a Black & Tan...

Ok, since you have time (heh), could you put some code in that gives diagnostic output for all aborts? I have this client installed fine inside a vmware install on my main box. I have this client installed on my laptop, where it comes up, asks for login and password, but when I click on the login button, it goes bye bye with no indication why.

It not working doesn't bother me that much, but the silence offends my sensibilities.

fix your mfc dll's and wspell ocx (if you are using the full version beta's.. just install the full version then copy the beta over or just use the lite betas).

the bye byeness is the fact that the wspell ocx isnt installed properly (or at all) which isnt easy to detect seemingly.
